The Clubs fishery is a 60 acre reservoir (Ogden), situated in the picturesque Rossendale Valley between Haslingden and Blackburn, which is well stocked throughout the season with 2 ¼ - 10 lb rainbow trout.
Considered the premier fishery from the surrounding area.
There is an abundance of fly life including buzzers, olives, sedges, hawthorn flies, daddy longlegs and mayflies.
Boats are provided free of charge, a spacious cabin where anglers check in and out recording their catches, and two full time bailiffs who cover all hours.
Inside the cabin is a large map of the reservoir with named productive areas.
Every three months the club publishes a newsletter, informing members of the latest news, catches and issues that may arise.
Each member is issued with two guest tickets, however extra tickets can be obtained by getting involved with working parties at the fishery.
Members also have the opportunity to purchase, with a discount, Tackle and Fly Tying equipment from a well known Game Fishing supplier.
The club benefits from a private car park with no public access to the fishery.
Every year the club has an open day before the start of the season, which can be attended by non-members as well. Activities include fly tying, casting instruction, a bring and buy section and a stall where fly tying materials can be purchased. The club also runs a similar event at Grindleton in the Ribble Valley at the beginning of November.
Haslingden Grane is the glaciated upper portion of the valley of the River Ogden, which lies west of Haslingden and is in the north east section of the West Pennine Moors part of Rossendale Lancashire.
To the north is Oswaldtwistle Moor, and to the south Musbury Heights. It was once the home of Grane village, and is easily accessible via the B6232/A6077 Grane Road which links to the M65 motorway and the A56. Grane valley is dominated by its three reservoirs, Holden Wood, Calf Hey and Ogden.
