A Fly-Fishing Club run by Members for Members
Haslingden and District Fly Fishing Club was founded in 1966 and was a natural brown trout fishery.
In 1982 North West Water decided there would be a significant increase in lease charges and the club decided it could no longer continue in its original format. A new committee was established and was decided to stock the still water reservoir with rainbow trout and increase membership which is capped today at 200.
The stocking policy is paramount and aimed at maintaining sufficient levels throughout the fishing season.
